Salomon OrthoLite Technology

OrthoLite Comfort Foam is revolutionary, open-cell material developed to provide superior shock absorption. Laboratory testing revealed that OrthoLite reduced the impact of "G-force" up to 40 percent for various types of footwear. The OrthoLite open-cell structure allows air to flow through the material and moisture to evaporate, promoting a breathable, dry surface.

OrthoLite

OrthoLite® insoles provide perfect step-in comfort and enhanced durability by using a combination of special PU and rubber crumbs.

OrthoLite .11 Density Insoles

This formulation OrthoLite was created to provide the customer with a lower cost foam option. Whit the same base properties as the .13 formulation, .11 has the high standard and performance of OrthoLite whith only slightly reduced compression set and tear properties. However, the performance of this foam still rates higher on all tests than the competing EVA and open cell PU products. The .11 density OrthoLite foam is great option for products that need the addition of a resilient, cooler, drier, and healthier sockliner. .11 Density OrthoLite provides high performance at a lower price.

OrthoLite .13 Density Insoles

This is the standard OrthoLite formulation available in hardness from 5 – 45 degrees Asker C and thicknesses from 2 – 20 mm. This is the traditional OrthoLite formulation that put the unique properties of OrthoLite on the map. .13 density OrthoLite offers high levels of breathability, moisture transport, and anti-microbial function to create a cooler, drier, and healthier environment inside the shoe or in any application where the foam comes in contact with the wearer. In addition, the very low compression set of this formulation guarantees that the comfort and integrity of the OrthoLite material will remain consistent and comfort and fit will never wane. There is no other open cell foam that can offer this unique combination of benefits.

OrthoLite SloMo Insoles

SloMo is the newest addition to the OrthoLite's product line. It is an ultra slow recovery foam that custom molds to any shape when pressure is applied and then returns very slowly, about 20 – 30 seconds, when the pressure is released. This formulation has all the breathability, moisture transport, and anti-microbial functions of the traditional OrthoLite formulations, but adds the functions of custom moldability to any product. New custom fit can be created inside the shoe, a brace, or any other product requiring exact fit for every customer. SloMo can also be combined with other OrthoLite formulations to add support and shock-absorbing features to the finished product.
